Transparency

RS Council

The Transparency feature has been created in order to provide a place for documents related to your Councils’ Transparency Policies to be published, but also can be used as a “catch-all” feature for documents or posts that you would like to publish on your website, but that don’t fit into any of the other features that are provided.

The feature provide you with great flexibility to post documents and information specific to your council and the way it operates.

Adding a Transparency Document

  1. Login to your website to the WP Admin Dashboard
  2. From the Admin Menu (left side) click on Transparency Docs > Add New

The following information should be set in order to get the best results on your website:

TitleThis should be set to the Job Title of the Vacancy
ContentThe Block Editor content should be the full description of the type of item you are adding to your site, including.
DocumentIf your item is related to a particular document (this can be a record of successful Grant Applications, Asset Details, Reports etc), then the document can be uploaded here. This is not a required field, so you can use the Transparency feature as simply a portal to group particular types of Posts together.
TopicOn the right-hand sidebar, you can create and assign a Topic for the Transparency Document or Post. This will group your posts on the Transparency page and allow visitors to find what they are looking for more easily. NOTE: A Topic MUST be set, as unassigned Transparency posts will not display on the page unless they have been assigned a Topic.

Layouts

The Layouts allows you to set the look/design of the pages displaying lists & details of your posts, and can be set in WP Admin > Job Vacancies > Settings.

Single Layouts

Default

The Default Single Layout is a simple layout which should allow any variation of a Transparency Post to be displayed logically and well-presented, with the Title and Content, followed underneath by the attached document (if applicable).

Archive Layouts

Default

The Default Layout for Transparency Documents is a relatively simple list of the Title and related content for each Document/Post, grouped by the assigned Topic.
