Standard Email Accounts are the email addresses that you receive with any of our Web Hosting Packages. This page will give you the settings that are used to setup your email account in an Email Client.
We make use of ‘autodiscover’ technology, so that in the majority of cases, Microsoft Outlook can set up your account for you with only an email address and a password.
If Automatic Setup is not available to you on the Device/App you are using, then you can select the option to setup your account manually witht he following settings:
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Username | YOUR FULL EMAIL ADDRESS |
| PASSWORD | YOUR EMAIL PASSWORD |
| ACCOUNT TYPE | IMAP |
| INCOMING MAIL SERVER | imap.yourdomain.co.uk OR imap.stackmail.com |
| INCOMING PORT | 993 |
| INCOMING ENCRYPTION METHOD | SSL |
| OUTGOING MAIL SERVER | smtp.yourdomain.co.uk OR smtp.stackmail.com |
| OUTGOING PORT | 465 |
| OUTGOING ENCRYPTION METHOD | SSL/TLS |
When setting up your account in Microsoft Outlook, please choose More Settings > Outgoing Server and check the box for ‘My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication’.
If you have any difficulties in completing the setup process of your Email Account, first try using the alternative mail server settings in the list above.
If you experience any problems with the connection or receive a certificate warning, please disable SSL/TLS encryption and change the incoming server port to 143.
