Setting your Email Signature

Outlook

To save time, you can create a Signature that will appear at the bottom of all of your emails which traditionally would include your name, contact information and maybe your organisations logo. In order to set this up in Outlook, pleae follow these steps:

  1. When you are in Outlook, click on New Email, as if you were going to compose a new email
  2. On the email message screen, on the Message tab, click on Signature and then Signatures in the dropdown menu
  3. This will open the Signatures window
  4. Below the box in the top left corner, click on New
  5. Type a name for the Signature and click OK. This is just for your reference.
  6. The name you have just provided will then appear in the list in the top left box, click on it to select it.
  7. Under the Edit Signature section on this window, you can add and format your Signature
  8. When you are finished with your Signature, in the top right corner, you can decide when this signature is used. Select your email account in the first field, and the name of your Signature in the following 2 fields to make your signature appear whenever you send any email. You can change this if you do not want your signature to be used all of the time.
  9. Click Save under the box in the top right corner
  10. Click OK at the bottom of this window, and close the new email.

Once you have completed the steps above, you can then start composing and replying to emails with your new Email Signature automatically inserted at the end of your email.
