Press Releases

RS Council

The Press Releases feature has been created in order for you to publish Press Releases in a standardised feature and display them in an orderly way on the website.

Adding a Press Release

  1. Login to your website to the WP Admin Dashboard
  2. From the Admin Menu (left side) click on Press Releases > Add New

The following information should be set in order to get the best results on your website:

TitleThis should be set to the title of the Press Release topic
ContentThe Block Editor content should be the content of the Press Release, with full details of the release

Layouts

The Layouts allows you to set the look/design of the pages displaying lists & details of your posts, and can be set in WP Admin > Press Releases > Settings.

Single Layouts

Default

The Default Single Layout is a simple layout, with the Title and Date/Time at the top fo the page, follwed by the full Press Release content.

Archive Layouts

Default

The Default Layout for Press Releases is a relatively simple list of the Title, Date/Time and an excerpt of the Content. The Featured image is displayed to the left of the item, and both the Image and Title are links to the single Press Release.
